FREE Resources To Help You Level Up On Your Own

An Asian woman with dark shoulder length wavy hair wearing a black leather jacket sits working at a desk on her laptop wit some papers and her cellphone.

Creating curb appeal for your marketing content is time-consuming. So, my first recommendation is to hire a pro who can translate the concepts in your head to look great on paper (or screen.) But, sometimes that is a stretch too far for your budget.

I get it. Been there, done that.

So, here’s a list of resources to help you level up your visual content on your own.

  • Looking for graphic design help? Canva Design School delivers full courses teaching everything from graphic design basics to specific how-to tutorials.

  • Want to make a video? Vimeo Video School breaks down video production with pro lessons on everything from the basics to choosing the right gear for your project, and taking your project to the next level.

  • Ever wonder why video production costs so much? Watch this series from Wistia to learn about what goes into a video budget.

  • Ready to level up your marketing strategy? Hubspot Academy teaches inbound and content marketing principles that will help you use all that shiny new content in a way that drives results.

  • And, StoryBrand’s 5 Minute Marketing Makeover is a short series of high impact marketing tips that will help you make practial changes to increase your revenue.

BONUS: Clear messaging allows for the best possible return on your investment in video or design. Confusion costs you customers every time. If you need some help creating a message that your customers understand, I recommend StoryBrand’s marketing lessons inside Business Made Simple University or their Live Marketing Workshops*. While these two aren’t free, they’re worth every penny.
